Note: This website was created by me and Nat Taylor while we were conducting field work in New Zealand in the fall of 2000. The field site was an odd mix of stunning beauty and brutality. These conditions combined with the depressing drama of the 2000 US Presedential Election to put us into a strange mindset. No photos can truly capture the surreal aspect of our time in the field, however this website (unchanged from the time of its creation in 2000) give a bit of the flavor. Enter at your own risk....
