The tour continues at the bottom of each page

The site sits on a ridge running north of Wellington. We are looking west to the town of Porirua. Note curious lambs.

 

Interspersed across the farm are old ammunition bunkers built by the US Army during World War II.

The starlings nest in old ventilation shafts inside the bunkers.

 

This is Bunker #15. While it looks quite scenic, it has been rather lame in generating nesting birds.
