The site sits on a ridge running north
of Wellington. We are looking west to the town of Porirua. Note
curious lambs.
Interspersed across the farm are old
ammunition bunkers built by the US Army during World War II.
The starlings nest in old ventilation
shafts inside the bunkers.
This is Bunker #15. While it looks
quite scenic, it has been rather lame in generating nesting birds.
Here Nat contemplates our field work.
