"Crocodile. We saw a crocodile almost eat a dog. The dog was swimming out and not paying attention to anything and the crocodile head straight for him and snapped at him and the dog swam to shore with the crocodile still following him."

"Trapdoor spider. This mini-spider digs a little hole in dried clay and moss and makes a door and is able to close the door by itself. The way it eats is it closes its trap door and when she senses a prey walking towards her hole, she snatches out of her trap door and eats it!"

Because it is a coconut with a seedling growing out of it

"Net spider. It makes a small net at the end of its legs and when prey comes along on the branch, it throws the net down and eats its prey"
"Frigatebirds. They were circling an island that was infested with birds"
"Peccary/piggish thing. Very smelly. I had to hold my nose. They are covered with mud and very dangerous"
Butterfly migration. We happened to arrive during the week when a species of butterfly moves north in great numbers. They flowed in the thousands over the water along the coast.

A crazy monkey that could often be found in our room...
