We went from Belize to Tikal. This has to be one of the finest places in the world to visit. Incredible mystifying temple complex enormous in scale that makes you think deeply about culture and technology. And... incredible birding, especially from the tops of temples.

On the backside of Temple IV is a narrow ledge, up above we found a pair of nesting of bat falcons. A true wildlife highlight (much cooler than the ocelot sighting behind a restaurant)
